Wiping the tears…restoring the hope.
"Everyone is someone’s child"
Pierre Beaumarchais
We all probably have heard the phrase: “There are no children that do not belong to you”. But how often do we think about the life of the children who have been left without parental love and care and what their lives are really like.
Inconsolable facts:
• There are more than 100 thousand orphans in Ukraine. 30 thousand of those live in orphanages and boarding schools.
• According to various surveys 75 % of the children that live in the orphanages would like to have a real family.
• Each year about 900 new born babies are abandoned by their parents.
• Each year approximately 1000 orphaned children leave orphanages and boarding schools to start an independent living.
OUR GOAL IS:
To help children left without parental care to find loving Christian families.
OUR TASK:
• To change the stigma surrounding orphans and challenge the Ukrainian society to assist children left without parental care.
• To use the “Life Skills for Youth” Curriculum that we have written and published to help children that graduate from the child care institutions to integrate into society and start a successful independent life.
• To provide orphans and the families who want to adopt a child with juridical consultation. To conduct training for future adoptive parents.
